Beneath the 12-Mile Reef (1953)

Beneath the 12-Mile Reef is a 1953 adventure film about a family of Greek-American sponge divers and their rival with a family of W.A.S.P divers. The film was made in Tarpon Springs, Florida, a town famous for it’s Greek community. It starred Robert Wagner, Terry Moore and Gilbert Roland.

I really can’t believe how few people watched this movie. It’s one of my favorites.

    1. This is one of my all time favorite Cinemascope films. I have oftem wondered how the scene the fight with the rubber Octopus ( I doubt if it was a real one ) was filmed? I would also like to get an uncut copy of this fim? All the copies have a fight sequence in a park between Gilbert Roland & Peter Graves cut. Any way it’s still one of my favorite Cinemascope film of all time.

    2. So far this is a real good site. I only wacth on line. No cable, I like the older movies & shows. takes me back to my younger days. keep up the good work. RLJ
