BB grew up (2012)
Our mascot, the notorious mutt puppy BB has turned 2 years old somewhere between now and then.
You might have seen the post I wrote a couple years ago. Poor puppy. Her heritage is still an ancient Chinese secret, but I didn’t tell her. She’s a good pooch.
The guy in the middle is a half rottweiler, half boxer, 120lb and not grown up puppy named Spike. He’s a big goofy guy and a serious oaf. The neighbors dog.
- You’ve got to keep the Canadians from complaining.
Another puppy rescued and turned into a great American mutt dog. I love mutts.

Can a picture of you be far behind?
I understand. I’m a mutt myself and through the years (I’m 82) I’ve had a large number of mutts as best friends. Starting with a part Collie that put up with my aggravation when I was three. She once knocked me down when I was headed for some bushes that contained an enormous snake. She then leaped over me and attacked the snake. The little mutt I have now had a regular Hines 57 ancestry but he’s a strong hearted little guy and guards me like made out of gold. If I’m away for a short time he’s not happy until he covers ever square inch of my face with with dog kisses. It’s like the old prayer; “Lord, please make me half the man my dog thinks I am. Amen.”
I never heard that one before.
