Old Time Radio Station

A little tinkering on my part and I created an instant Old Time Radio station.
winamp

Listen with Winamp/VLC

If you don’t see a player over there on your left, you probably are using Firefox and don’t have an MP3 player. Install VLC and make sure you check the browser related plugins when you install. An Ipad or Iphone will work, click on the icon. Android and Kindle Fire users can find the Retrovision Channel in the Winamp Android app.

My thinking is that I will post a new playlist about 8 hours long every week or so using only the best shows and the best recordings.

You can add Retrovision to your web radio manually by using the following url:

http://retrovision.tv:8000/test.mp3

Attention Kindle Fire users. Winamp for Android in the Amazon store is very old and broken. This beta (click) works fine. Manually install it. Important: Uninstall Winamp if you already have it installed and then install this app.

  2. I have been listening and building a collection of old time radio shows for a long time. It is almost, but great entertainment genre. My hats off to you for Retro television and now your journey into Old Time Radio!!

  3. Maybe you have some suggestions for future playlists? I’ve been listening to OTR for about 45 years, so I know about some of the best episodes. I could use some suggestions though.

  4. I like The Great Gidersleeve, Phil Harris/ Alice Faye show, The Six Shooter, starring James Stewart, The Texas Ranger…. God there are so many good ones. Two sites that I subscribe to are Radio Vault.com & RUSC.com. Both great and reasonable.

  5. The last couple of days I have tried to get into Retrovision on my Roku with no
luck. Are you still going to be available on Roku or is it all done?
    Thank you,
    Jerry

  6. Now Playing CBSRMT OTA Recordings from 1974 to 1975 including commercials and some with the news intact.

Firefox works like a charm and you don’t get Chrome’s invasive tracking.

  8. There is no such thing as “Chrome invasive tracking”. Chrome is just a browser. Just the best browser anyone ever made. There is nothing sinister about it.

I hate to mention it, but Mozilla foundation gets $300 million dollars a year from Google.
