  1. Centralia has been an interest of mine for years! I am so glad you posted this educational show. 1000 bows to you Kevin.

  2. ..& you know now that I’m watching this I am crying! I feel such sadness for the poor homes that gave everyone shelter & happiness for so long..& the people of course but at least they went on living their lives elsewhere..really so sad for all involved.

  3. John Comarnisky and John Lokias, Jr. in the documentary were evicted in 2009, two years after the making of this film.

  4. I’m not entirely sure that was a bad idea. CO poisoning is cumulative. When the guy collapsed in his living room, and all the CO detectors went off the second they were installed, you gotta get a clue. The town is really long gone. It’s still an interesting story, and I like ghosts towns.

Now the fire seems to be subsiding, but it’s not gonna be vacation spot for a couple hundred years.

  5. Hi Cindy..thanks for that info! & Kevin..I agree with you all the way!
Really is so sad for the people, they all seemed to be very happy living there back in the day..& ya gotta trust those CO detectors for sure! Ghost towns are on the top ‘o my list of interests. Have a great holiday to everyone.
