Frame 313: The JFK Assassination Theories (2009)

Five of the most credible theories surrounding the murder of President John F. Kennedy on that fateful day in Dallas. John Kennedy was shot on Friday, November 22, 1963, in Dealey Plaza, Dallas, Texas.

For my own addition to the conspiracy theories:

I bought a Carcano rifle 20 years ago for $25 new in cosmoline. They were out of some old Italian armory. After shooting it I thought: Why would anyone use this rifle for anything if they had a choice? It’s a cheap infantry rifle designed 1895 focusing on cheap. It’s an odd choice if you were serious. Any hardware store in 1961 would have had a better gun. Oswald, the expert marksman marine, chose to slay John Kennedy with World War 1 army surplus. It’s not a good gun. I didn’t think it was good enough to hunt deer with. You would be on the losing side if you carried this in a war. I just think it’s odd that a serious shooter would pick such a clearly inferior gun. Oswald was a marine with distinction about his marksmanship. You’d think he’d pick an adequate weapon. It just always seemed wrong somehow.
