Few series have hooked me like 24, which is now in it’s 8th season. 24 returned for a two-night premiere with the first two episodes airing on January 17, 2010 and the following two episodes airing the following night.

The series follows the adventures of Counter Terrorist Unit agent Jack Bauer as he tries to fight terrorism. The series are 24 episodes each where each episode represents an hour of the 24 hour day. The show plays against a ticking clock representing real time and the commercial breaks are counter in the show clock. It’s a show of recurrent themes terrorist with nuclear material, biochemical warfare or both against Jack Bauer. Jack really isn’t above beating a confession out of the bad guys. 24 switches cast members a lot. This new season has Katee Sackhoff and Freddie Prinze Jr. as cast members.

when do we get the movie?

I am a died in the wool 24 fan. This show seemed like it kind of ended with a whimper and not a bang. I guess we are promised a movie later. I’m keeping some of the 24 box sets I bought on DVD. Maybe in ten years I won’t remember the story lines any more.

Now I’m gonna have to find some other thing to get hooked on.
