This was a short lived remake of the original 1966 gothic soap opera Dark Shadows. This show was recieved well and the pilot was seen by 1 in 4 TV viewers in the United States when it made it’s debut. It was canceled after only 12 episodes because it was not shown in it’s time slot, being almost always pre-empted by news of the 1991 gulf war “Desert Storm” operation. Life and death will never be the same again when the mysterious stranger, Barnabas Collins, appears in Collinsport, Maine.
