Killers from Space is a 1954 Science Fiction Films where Peter Graves (Mission Impossible) fights some evil conquerors from the planet Venus. The venutians look just like we humans except they wear painted ping pong balls over their eyes. One of the things that I found was funny was the number of times Peter Graves girlfriend says “Doug”. She must say “Doug” three or four dozen times. We got it alright, the guys name is “Doug”!

Every morning a good new old fil – what a surprise! Thanks for the work and all the Best!
Never before on RetroTV has the movie’s preview image summed it up so well! And indeed made me want to give it a try. Hilarious.
When I play table tennis, I’ll never see a ping pong ball the same again. And what about the alien hypnotist? I think he could use a few more lessons. Peter Graves shook off his influence pretty easly.with all the nuclear testing back then, and the space platforms still intact, couldn’t the aleins just try this trick again?
I like the call name of the pilots at the beginning, “Tar baby two” and Tar baby one” Where did they come up with that? I love these old movies! I used to wait up all night to see them on the “Late, Late Movies” when I was a kid. They are just as much fun to watch now! My wife thinks I am strange for enjoying these old movies more than a new one. Thanks for making them available!
A tar-baby is a “sticky situation”. I think it was something about an Uncle Remus folk tale.
He’s got Betty Davis eyes…lol Pretty good, corny but hay. it’s worth a watch…….
First of all, the aliens are not from Venus but from a planet they identify as Astron Delta. What is wrong with calling the plane Tar Baby 2? Being a low budget film, it was necessary to make use of what they could afford. Thus they called in the great make up man Harry Thomas who was famous for making something out of nothing. The low budget situation for this or any other film is not something I can regard as a negative. So long as the film tells the story straight forward, that is the main thing. I can think of some recent high budget hi tech films that are totally idiotic. This film is in the grammar of the Saturday afternoon serials of the 1940s and is blatantly for the younger age crowd of 1954 and not for adults of 2010. However, I happen to enjoy this film perhaps out of nostalgia. It reminds me of the good old days when “Chiller Theater” came on Saturday night. For what it intended to do and for whom it was intended, it did very well
