KMHD is a listener supported broadcast radio station located here in Oregon. The studio is on the Mount Hood Community College campus, and the transmitter is located atop Portland’s west hills. A nonprofit organization that has been providing the Portland, Oregon community with quality jazz, blues, and traditional American music since 1984, KMHD is among the oldest listener supported Jazz radio stations in the USA.

KMHD is in one of their pledge drives , but that’s only minorly annoying. Their playlist is deeeeep and the DJ’s know their jazz and blues. This isn’t a Clearchannel clone.
I sure agree with you as far as content goes, but I’m sad that their internet signal is only monaural at pretty low sampling rate. I listen to the trad jazz programs on weekend mornings especially. For those that like informed jazz with better sound I suggest WEMU, or WFCR in the evenings. Out here in the MA mountains, the internet is my main music source!
