Flying Serpent, The (1946) Principles of Electricity

Rocketship X-M (1950)

Tagged: , Lloyd Bridges, Sci-Fi, by Kevin

This movie features Lloyd Bridges, Osa Massen, John Emery, Noah Beery, Jr., Hugh O’Brian, Morris Ankrum, Patrick Ahern, Sherry Moreland, John Dutra and Katherine Marlowe. Four men and a woman blast into space on humanity’s first expedition to the Moon, a 48-hour journey. A malfunction causes the ship to drift off course and sends them hurtling to Mars. The rocket passes through clouds to land on Mars where they find evidence of a once-powerful civilization, as evidenced by an art-deco wall-hanging of a face, and a backdrop of a building shaped rather like a dynamo. There has been a planetary nuclear war.

Although this one was one of my favorite MST episodes, I never thought the movie was very bad. A nice, low-key sci-fi movie. Thank you, uploader, for sharing.

This was one of my childhood faves…but after seeing it now…Uhhh I changed my mind…I find Atomic Submarine and It Terror from Outer Space. way more engaging…but Rocketship Xm is still pretty cool and yeah low key like the other homie said…
    Peace Out, Coyotek

Getting through the melodramatic end of this movie….. wow… as an adult it just sort of loses something. Maybe we can’t fathom the quintessential hero and his lady fair facing certain doom. It’s hard to believe, but this is even cornier than Rocky Jones.
