edward g was a great ambassador for actors
even in this earlier performance you can see
what acting ability he had. A very good story to this film

oh, the joy of country living. robinson’s final face was forever etched in a young boy’s memory, though the rest of the film was somehow forgotten. too far over my little head, i suppose. anyway, thank you for the brilliant return and for your brilliant site. “i think i’m gonna like these pictures”, to sort of quote another great piece of nostalgia you’ve managed to make available. luv ya for it all.

I live on these movies. I used to junk out on TCM when I lived in the US but when my husband and I moved overseas, I was lost without my black and whites! I was so desperate to find some good ole movies and I started researching online and this site is the BEST I found. Thank you so much for your site and such a great selection. Please keep them coming!

By-the-way, Edward G. is the best. What a diverse actor. I loved him in The Ten Commandments, but I love watching him in less epic movies.

I have been trying to view The Red House but keep getting 2059 error. I have not seen this film in years and would sure like to see it again, if possible. I love all the old mysteries and chillers you have.

  16. Kevin says:

Very odd Max. I think it just wanted me to look at it. Good to do now. Thanks for the bug report.

  17. Max Young says:

Me again. Finally saw it. Whatever the glitch was it was fixed. Thanks. It is still a spooky film to watch. Top notch acting along with a terrific music score. Eddie Robinson goes full tilt in the spectrum of acting from gentle to completely out of it. They don’t make ‘em like that any more for sure.
