The Sadist is a 1963 black and white exploitation film written and directed by James Landis. It stars Arch Hall Jr., son of exploitation impressario, writer, producer, and director Arch Hall Sr. Eegah! was also produced by Arch Hall Sr. and starred Arch Hall Jr. and Marilyn Manning.

This film is pretty scary so it’s NOT FOR KIDS. Arch Hall Jr. plays a psychotic killer who traps three people driving into Los Angeles for a Dodgers game who have car trouble and pull off into an old wrecking yard where they are held at bay by the bloodthirsty psycho and his crazy girlfriend.

    If you ever wonder what kind of films we were watching at the Drive.Ins in the 60’s watch this movie.It’s not a bad film and it’s not a great film.I spent many an hour at the drive ins watching this type of a movie when not making out with my girl.I would give this Grade B movie a B

    As B movies go, this was a gem! In the middle, I took a snack break and googled Arch Hall, Jr. to see whatever became of him. Turns out he became a pilot…eventually flying 747s!
