Here’s a midnight movie for ya.
An alien civilization, which facing eminent extinction, kidnaps two famous genetic scientists from Earth. A troop of soldiers is dispatched to combat the humanoid robots and rescue the victims. La Guerra dei robot is the original title. I think I caught this one at the Drive-In. Gone are the days that you could sit in your car in the drive-in and watch movies until dawn. Stars :Antonio Sabato and Yanti Somer.

Gone are the days when I could stay awake until dawn.
The drive-ins are still there (a few), but when you are this far north, in mid-summer, it doesn’t get dark until after 10 pm and starts getting light around 4 am.
So it’s not a real long test of endurance.
The coolest thing that ever happened at a drive-in was when a tornado took down the screen during a showing of “Twister”.
Talk about realistic special effects!
We got maybe an extra hour on one end or the other here in Oregon. There is one drive-in open summers about 30 miles from here, but they don’t play movies all night like they used to.
Crimson Executioner dude sort of reminded me of the guy that played Mike Brady on the Brady Bunch.
Let’s try to find the original film and the copies of this movie and put them in a barrel of acid. Yukkk

That was one of the “worst” B movies I have ever seen! Way Beyond Hokey! Sooooooo Bad – yet I still enjoyed it !!

Absolutely loved it! There are so many laughable moments, with awful dialogue, terrible special effects and characters explaining everything they are about to do. The dubbing was done extremely well though and the electronic music has a nice analog sound. Somehow this film seems to sum up everything good (or bad depending on your viewpoint) about b-movie sci-fi to me. Roll a joint or two and enjoy the film!
