So this seems to be one big as for Netflix. I personally hate Netflix. Netflix hopes and prays that you take them up on the ‘keep them for as long as you like, no late fees. Try viewing the DVD, putting the DVD in the mail and expect another. Hold on, if they Netflix feel the movies are returning too fast, they, Netflix stats to mail you DVD from aroung the United States in an effort to slow you down. The’re making money, but you the customer get screwed if you don’t comform to their ideal. Netflix can crew themselves…it’s all about money and greed, which is ideal here in the United States of America.

I’ve used Netflix, and I have had no problems with the service. I won’t paint the extra day it’s taken sometimes to get the movies as some sort of conspiracy. Between the online movie viewing and the mail to home movies, it’s the most movies I’ve ever gotten at the cheapest price.

“Slowing you down” (if there is any real conspiracy, I haven’t seen it) or just delays in rental shipments still leaves you with the cheapest rental prices and the most movies for the money anywhere.

I think that movies being shipped from elsewhere in the country is just because that’s where the movies happen to be. Is it perfect? No. I do think it represents really decent value with reasonable shipping times and 90,000 movies to choose from.

If I were to pick a shortcoming, it would be that it’s sometimes hard to tell what you will want to watch a day or two ahead of time. Still, it’s always worked out that I got rentals (not even counting online viewing) for less than a buck.

I’m happy to have Netflix for a sponsor and have been happy to be a customer. It beats any movie package cable tv ever offered. I also use Redbox. I also order TV series from Amazon Digital downloads.

Being a movie lover, 2009 is like being a kid in a candy store with all the great, inexpensive, convenient ways to enjoy movies.
