Stranger From Venus (1954)
This film is a fairly entertaining knockoff of “The Day the Earth Stood Still”. It even has Patricia Neil from the original movie and the plot is similar in that earth is warned of it’s own destruction because of nuclear weapons. The budget is considerably less that “The Day the Earth Stood” and it shows. The film is a decent example of 50′s movie sci-fi.
It Came from Beneath the Sea (1955) is an American science fiction film produced by Sam Katzman and Charles Schneer for Columbia Pictures, from a script by George Worthing Yates designed to showcase the special model-animated effects of Ray Harryhausen.
