Retrovisions episode pick: The Probe. This was the last episode of the Outer Limits and was broadcast January 16th, 1965.

There is nothing wrong with your television set. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling transmission. If we wish to make it louder, we will bring up the volume. If we wish to make it softer, we will tune it to a whisper. We will control the horizontal. We will control the vertical. We can roll the image, make it flutter. We can change the focus to a soft blur or sharpen it to crystal clarity. For the next hour, sit quietly and we will control all that you see and hear. We repeat: there is nothing wrong with your television set. You are about to participate in a great adventure. You are about to experience the awe and mystery which reaches from the inner mind to… The Outer Limits.”

  1. This came really close to being considered a spam link. I clicked on it. Somehow the urge to buy a zoot suit wasn’t overly compelling but it is interesting.

  2. The creature from ARCHITECTS OF FEAR they made from a volunteer ROBERT CULP my mom called it the CHICKENFOOT MONSTER becuase of those freakish birdfeet it had and when the hunter shot him his wife could feel it

  3. This is absolutely the site I”ve dreamt of….I adore the Outer Limits, it influenced my present work, as a kid it opened my mind and this and other shows like it are really great examples of the beauty of the human mind.

  4. Nice stuff but there were many more oldies i miss being a child in the 1950s & 1960s Miss too the old Twiligth zone especially such as “still valley ” Very glad you found episode 1 season one when it was first called “Please Stand By ” but due to the Cuban missle crisis was changed to” The Outer Limits. “

  5. This is so cool! I remember watching these as a kid when they first came out and even though a few of the concepts were beyond my understanding at the time, the effects and the music stayed with me all my life. Now, for the first time I’m able to watch these wonderful shows in their original order, just like they were shown when I first saw them!! Amazing and beautiful! Thank you!!
