Shock (1944)

The film tells the story of a psychiatrist, Dr. Cross, (Vincent Price), who is treating a young woman, Janet Stewart (Anabel Shaw), who is in a coma-state, brought on when she heard loud arguing, went to her window and saw a man strike his wife with a candlestick and kill her. It also stars Lynn Bari as Dr. Cross’s nurse/lover, Elaine Jordan.

  1. I have seen most Vincent Price moivies, but not this one> Thanks Kevin…

    • I was 7 when I watched The Conqueror Worm for the first time. The old lady at the theater didn’t care if you were underage. By 1968 standards, this movie was really outside the box. That and the Phibes movies.

    • A head of it’s time “mystery” and clever for it’s time. Vincent…is sublime.
