Too Late for Tears (1949)

Too Late for Tears is a 1949 black-and-white film noir starring Lizabeth Scott and Dan Duryea. Alan Palmer accidentally gets a hold of $60,000 in stolen cash. Lizabeth Scott is one of the great movie femme fatales and plays his plotting wife Jane. She insists that they keep the money instead of going to the police. Dan Duryea plays the private detective that becomes wise to the plan and tries to take the money from them. Jane works out a deal to split the money with the P.I. Then, realizing that her husband can’t be trusted, Jane murders him on a romantic lake boat ride with the help of the detective. Then the plot thickens.

  2. Boy what a flick! It’s been a long time since I enjoy great Film Noir. The plot really got me. I don’t know why the critic gave it only 2.5*
maybe because the final scene that is so cliche.

    • It should work now. You were probably using IE. I don’t know why it doesn’t work. Every other browser does. Use Chrome like I do for best results. Internet Explorer would have to get twice as good to be terrible.

Big companies have techies to make sure every browser works. I have me. The least cooperative browser is Internet Explorer. Microsoft just seems to ignore standards because they don’t have to care.

      Use Chrome or Firefox please.
